The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has apprehended a man from Nagpur in relation to an improvised explosive device (IED) discovered at a Pune hospital, according to officials on Friday.

The suspect, reportedly a resident of Pune's Manjari area, had been evading authorities following the incident. An ATS officer disclosed that an empty box for a timer used in the IED was recovered from his shop. The officer added, "We are questioning him to determine whether any other individuals were complicit in the plot."

A low-grade explosive device had been located in the washroom of Usha Kiran Hospital in Hadapsar on Wednesday evening, which was subsequently neutralized by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad. Investigations are ongoing by police, crime branch, and ATS teams.
