The Sharjah Center for Learning Difficulties (SCLD) took part in the 2nd International Scientific Conference on Learning Difficulties in Amman, Jordan, from May 6-8, 2025. The event focused on enhancing international cooperation, exchanging expertise, and exploring new developments in diagnosing and supporting individuals with learning difficulties.

Headed by Director Dr Hanadi Al Suwaidi, the SCLD signed a crucial cooperation agreement with Princess Tharwat University College. The agreement aims to foster collaboration on academic exchanges and curriculum development, along with practical training ventures for students. Joint research projects, essential to the field, will also be developed to refine diagnostic and assessment tools tailored to local and regional needs.

Dr Hanadi emphasized the collective effort required to build an inclusive education system, urging for the design of effective intervention plans. The conference presented a platform for experience sharing and developing realistic recommendations to tackle challenges faced by individuals with learning difficulties. Dr Hanadi also highlighted the humanitarian aspect of the issue, advocating for broad societal engagement and cooperation across sectors.

Throughout the conference, the SCLD delegation showcased their model institution through a paper detailing their programs and accomplishments. They engaged in field visits to institutions like Al-Bunayat Centre for Special Education, promoting technical exchanges and discussing collaborative projects that advance learning support services.
