In a decisive military action, India successfully dismantled key terrorist infrastructure under the banner of 'Operation Sindoor,' particularly focusing on Pakistan's Bahawalpur city and its surrounding areas in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The city, a notorious terror hotspot, saw the demolition of the Markaz Subhan Allah, a pivotal Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) stronghold.

The high-profile site, operational since 2015, served as JeM's nerve center for recruitment and terrorist activities, including the infamous Pulwama attack of 2019. The Indian Armed Forces' precise missile strikes ensured thorough destruction, as reported by visuals from Reuters. Operation Sindoor's objectives, articulated during a press briefing by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, highlighted the goal of eliminating terror bases while minimizing civilian harm.

Colonel Qureshi described the strategic targeting of camps in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sarjal, and Mehmoona Joya, confirming the obliteration of JeM's headquarters. Wing Commander Singh emphasized the motive behind 'Operation Sindoor,' labeling it a response to the deadly Pahalgam attack, aimed at delivering justice and destabilizing Pakistan's intricate terror network.

The operation meticulously planned to avoid civilian casualties, involved coordinated efforts by India's tri-services, demonstrating a robust military strategy. It punctuated India's commitment to counter-terrorism, with attacks executed in the early hours, strategically crippling terror outfits like JeM and LeT entrenched in Pakistan and PoJK.
