India-Croatia Ties Strengthened with Landmark MOUs

India and Croatia have taken a significant step in strengthening their bilateral relations, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's historical visit to Croatia culminates in the signing of four essential Memorandums of Understanding. These agreements cover a wide array of areas, including agricultural cooperation, advancements in science and technology, cultural exchange, and the institution of a Hindi Chair at the University of Zagreb.

The two nations have recognized the pivotal role of enhancing connectivity through initiatives like the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor. Both leaders have shown a keen interest in expanding partnerships in maritime and port sectors, leveraging their profound maritime heritage. Furthermore, Croatia's strategic location is viewed as a potential gateway to Central Europe, amplifying its significance in the region.

This landmark visit marked the first-ever visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Croatia, bringing a fresh impetus to the bilateral collaboration, especially in trade, tourism, and technological sectors. As Prime Minister Modi wrapped up his tour, which also included stops in Canada and Cyprus, he highlighted the strengthening of ties and the fruitful exchanges with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, further cementing India-Croatia relations.
