In a troubling update from the volatile region of Balochistan, the Baloch National Movement's Human Rights Department, Paank, has reported the violent deaths of two civilians within Kech district. The killings are attributed to state-backed groups as unrest mounts in the area.
The victims included 22-year-old Qaim Hayat, whose bullet-ridden body was discovered on June 27 near Zubaida Jalal Road in Meerabad, Tump. Such execution-style killings have been frequently associated with Pakistani Army-backed death squads, sparking widespread anger among residents who condemn the rampant extrajudicial violence.
Days later, another local, Afzal, was killed by unidentified assailants in Gomazi, Tump. Paank's statement on social media emphasized that these incidents mirror military-affiliated groups' targeted efforts to stifle Baloch civilian voices. The call for international human rights bodies to intervene is growing stronger as tensions and allegations of state-sponsored terror intensify.
