On Wednesday, senior defence officials from India and Israel convened in New Delhi to strengthen bilateral military relations, emphasizing long-term collaboration, as revealed by India's Ministry of Defence. The meeting involved India's Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Israel's Defence Ministry Director General, Major General (Res.) Amir Baram.

The officials agreed on enhancing defence ties through a robust institutional framework, marking a significant decision to bolster cooperation further. This dialogue reflects a shared commitment to progressing defence relations as a high-priority area for both countries.

During the talks, Israel's top military official condemned the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in 26 deaths, expressing unwavering support for India's anti-terrorism efforts. Simultaneously, India denounced the October 7 Hamas-led attacks in Israel, underscoring their zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and urging the release of hostages.

Additionally, the bilateral review encompassed the progress made since July 2024's Joint Working Group meeting, illustrating a step forward in India-Israel defence collaboration. Major General Amir Baram's visit notably enhances the bilateral strategic partnership, demonstrating mutual dedication to fortifying security cooperation.
