The Acting UK High Commissioner to India, Christina Scott, emphasized the strategic and economic significance of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the UK, saying it represents their shared ambitions and will boost cooperation in high-tech and environmental sectors. Scott underlined the deep trust and interdependence fostered by this agreement.
Speaking to ANI, Scott reflected on the three-year negotiations leading to the FTA, highlighting the commitment from both governments. The agreement symbolizes a promising collaboration in technology and security, aligning with the Vision 2035 framework. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's UK visit reaffirmed the bilateral dedication to achieving economic and strategic goals.
