As Super Typhoon Ragasa looms, authorities have evacuated over 5,000 families in the Philippines. In response, both flights and ferry services have been disrupted in multiple regions, including Taiwan. Hong Kong International Airport is set to suspend operations for 36 hours, affecting international travel.

Cathay Pacific has announced fee waivers for rebooking and rerouting flights affected between September 23rd to 25th. Thai Airways has issued advisories for travelers heading to Taiwan and Hong Kong. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, a Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5 has been declared over Babuyan Islands.

The powerful typhoon, with wind gusts reaching 295 km/h, is predicted to strike the Babuyan Islands before moving toward southern China. With the expectation of severe weather, authorities have shut down schools and government offices in many parts, warning of potential floods and landslides.

In Taiwan, local carriers have canceled flights and ferry services due to the typhoon's progression. Sea and land warnings have been issued as the storm impacts regional transport. In southern China, Guangdong Province heightened its emergency wind response, suspending various public services.

Chinese media reports that Zhuhai and Jiangmen will suspend classes, business, and public transport operations, including ferry services. As Ragasa advances, Asia braces for its impactful approach with widespread preparedness measures in place.
