In a decisive military operation on Friday, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) paratroopers successfully eliminated six Hezbollah operatives in Bint Jbeil, located south of the front defence line in southern Lebanon. This line is a strategic position established by the IDF to deter Hezbollah rocket attacks against northern Israel, ahead of the ongoing ceasefire.
The encounter began when Israeli forces identified the armed Hezbollah members, prompting an exchange of fire that resulted in the immediate elimination of two operatives. The IDF then proceeded to strategically assault the premises where the remaining Hezbollah members were fortified, ultimately neutralizing four more adversaries.
No casualties were reported among Israeli forces during the operation. An IDF spokesperson condemned the incident as 'another blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.'
