Impact of India's Missile Strike on JeM's Bahawalpur Stronghold

In a deadly missile attack on Wednesday, India's military targeted the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in Bahawalpur, killing 26 people, including 10 members of chief Maulana Masood Azhar’s family and four close associates. The strike signals a dramatic escalation in tensions.

Azhar's statement revealed the tragic loss of family members, including his elder sister, her husband, a nephew, his wife, another niece, and five children. Close associates also perished, deepening the tragedy and inflaming emotions.

This incident comes after Azhar was designated a global terrorist by the United Nations. The strike not only bears geopolitical implications but also highlights the persistent threat posed by JeM, known for orchestrating attacks like the 2001 Parliament siege and the 2019 Pulwama bombing.
