Ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir have resulted in the death of 13 civilians in the Poonch sector, with 59 others injured, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday.
Among the injured, 44 are from Poonch, as stated by the external publicity division of the MEA. The incidents follow India's recent military operations targeting nine terror infrastructures across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, escalating tensions along the border.
In response to the escalating conflict, educational institutions across five border districts in Jammu are ordered to remain closed, highlighting the growing security concerns in the region.
