A young man from Ruknpur village in Bhawanpur has been arrested by local police after allegedly using a controversial WhatsApp display picture featuring a Pakistan flag, authorities confirmed Thursday.
The individual, identified as Dilshad, drew police attention following complaints from local residents. The police were already on-site for a routine mock drill when the issue was reported.
According to Bhawanpur Station House Officer Kuldeep Singh, the man's mobile phone was inspected, unveiling a display picture of a woman holding a Pakistan flag, which heightened tension in the community. Police have registered a case, taken Dilshad into custody, and seized his mobile device.
