In the midst of escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan, a high-ranking official from India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) emphasized the importance of maintaining hope for de-escalation.

Speaking at an event organized by the Public Affairs Forum of India (PAFI), Secretary of Economic Relations, Dammu Ravi, addressed concerns over the conflict's impact on the economy, underscoring the interconnectedness of security, development, and economic growth. Ravi noted that during such tensions, industries tend to hold back, awaiting better circumstances.

These comments followed India's successful defense against Pakistan's aggressive military actions, with Indian forces neutralizing missile and drone attacks aimed at various military installations. The Indian defense ministry reaffirmed its preparedness to protect the nation's sovereignty and citizen safety, following reports of explosions and heightened surveillance along the border.
