According to state-run Radio Pakistan, Rubio reiterated the United States' commitment to ensuring peace and stability in the South Asian region. He highlighted the importance of proactive steps towards de-escalation between the two countries.
In response, Prime Minister Sharif restated Pakistan's determination to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, appreciating the concern shown by US President Donald Trump regarding the security matters. Both nations have agreed to maintain open channels of communication.
