Authorities in Shahjahanpur have acted swiftly, filing cases against three individuals for allegedly circulating false videos regarding a terrorist attack in the district, according to senior police sources.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi confirmed that the district's media cell detected the alarming video on Instagram and Facebook, which falsely reported a terror strike, sending waves of anxiety among residents.
Legal actions were initiated against Instagram user Ankit Kumar and another individual named Parvinder, alongside an unidentified suspect. Police continue to vigilantly monitor social media and have pledged to take stern action against those spreading misinformation.
