In a startling revelation, a 24-year-old woman and her male accomplice have been apprehended for allegedly circulating an obscene video of an elderly man on an adult website, confirmed the police on Monday.
Smriti Jain, originating from Dodaghat in Uttar Pradesh, along with Shanu Kumar from Vaishali in Bihar, were captured by authorities in Noida and brought to Jaisalmer for further questioning.
Circle Officer Jaisalmer Roop Singh Inda stated that the suspects remain under judicial custody and are believed to have produced more such videos, including an incident in Dausa district. The police disclosed that Jain allegedly enticed a 70-year-old man into performing obscene acts while Kumar managed the vehicle's operations.
The controversial video, which surfaced on May 4, prompted swift action from the Jaisalmer police who registered a complaint at the Tanot police station and initiated a comprehensive investigation.
In the footage, a woman and her associate purportedly park their car at an isolated location, engage an old man tending to livestock, and proceed to capture explicit acts on film. The individuals have also been linked to another emerging piece of footage near Dausa, solidifying the ongoing inquiry.
Circle Officer Inda added that the accused faces were blurred, complicating definitive identification, yet the evidence suggests their involvement in multi-district filming endeavors.
