Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin issued a stern warning on Monday, stating that the government will take tough action in cases of lockup deaths as part of its commitment to crime prevention.
During a law and order review meeting, Stalin emphasized that while preventing crime is essential, ensuring justice by prosecuting the guilty is a priority under the Dravidian model government.
In a social media post, Stalin highlighted stringent measures against negligence in cases relating to drugs, illicit liquor, women's safety, and lockup deaths, particularly after the alleged custodial death of a temple security guard in Sivaganga district.
