The juvenile was captured based on CCTV footage that showed him entering the victim's house on June 28 and leaving alone hours later. Sunil Mandal, the victim, was found with a slashed throat by his friend, Lallu.
The police investigation revealed that the boy confessed to the crime, stealing cash and phones after the murder. The police recovered the weapon and stolen items, with further investigation ongoing.
