In a dramatic turn of events in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district, Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma and BJP MLA Gopal Singh faced heated public backlash on Monday. Citizens expressed discontent due to alleged development failures, with videos capturing the confrontations surging on social media.
Minister Verma, attending an event in Khairi village, was stalled by locals demanding the fulfillment of a road construction promise. This pledge, made during election campaigns, remains unaddressed, particularly affecting women's mobility, as witnessed by individuals present.
Meanwhile, in Ashta and Kisalpuri, similar uproars arose. Residents of Bhupod challenged MLA Singh over stalled development projects, and villagers in Dindori showcased their exasperation about utility shortages by blocking roads with empty utensils, prompting official intervention to diffuse tensions.
