Odisha Expands Industrial Security with New OISF Battalions

In a significant move towards boosting industrial security, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has sanctioned the creation of two additional battalions for the Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF). This decision comes as a response to the escalating industrial activities across the state.
An official notification from the home department detailed the creation of 2,080 new posts, of which 1,944 will be regular and 136 will be outsourced. The new battalions, designated as the 3rd and 4th, will contribute to a total of 4,927 posts under the OISF.
In parallel, the state's law department announced the establishment of 56 new courts, with an approval for 840 new posts, enhancing the judicial infrastructure in Odisha. This strategic expansion aims to support the state's focus on industrial growth and the Make in Odisha initiative, ensuring a peaceful industrial environment.
