A Widow's Call: 'Martyr' Recognition for Pahalgam Attack Victims

Aishanya Dwivedi, widow of Pahalgam terror attack victim Shubham Dwivedi, is calling for the 'Martyr' recognition for all 26 victims of the attack. Addressing the Lok Sabha, she condemned political figures who she claims undermine the gravity of the tragic event, which occurred on April 22.

During a special parliamentary debate on 'Operation Sindoor', launched in response to the attack, Dwivedi highlighted her frustration with the delay in official acknowledgment and support for the victims' families. She stressed the need for unity in fighting terrorism, reminding leaders that terrorists target all Indians, regardless of political or caste affiliations.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh stated that 'Operation Sindoor' had achieved its military goals and might resume if provoked. Dwivedi, however, urged the government to provide meaningful relief and recognition, especially for the widows and children left behind.
