In a major crackdown on alleged corruption, Lokayukta sleuths raided several properties linked to five government officials on Tuesday, citing possession of assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.

The extensive operation spanned key areas such as Hassan, Chikkabalapura, Chitradurga, and Bengaluru, according to Lokayukta authorities.

The officials targeted in these raids include Jayanna R, an Executive Engineer with NHAI in Hassan, and officials from the Rural Drinking Water and Sanitisation, Taluk Health, and Revenue departments.
