In a new development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death investigation, a Mumbai court has served a notice to Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty. The notice asks Chakraborty to respond to the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) closure report on the high-profile case.
The CBI's report was originally filed in March and is currently under review by the Esplanade court in Mumbai. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate R D Chavan issued the notice as part of ongoing court procedures.
Rhea Chakraborty has previously filed grievances implicating Rajput's sisters and a doctor in his death. The court is set to hear further proceedings on August 12 to decide on the future course of action regarding the CBI's findings.
