During the chaos, both SHO Subodh Kumar Singh and 20-year-old Sumit suffered fatal gunshot injuries. Additional District and Sessions Judge Gopal Ji convicted five of the accused under IPC section 302 for murder, while 33 others faced different charges.

The sentencing is scheduled for August 1, according to legal representatives. Special Public Prosecutor Yashpal Singh Raghav confirmed that charges against 38 of the 44 named in the charge sheet were upheld. A juvenile court is handling the case of one minor involved, while five accused have died during the trial.
