Syrian-Russian Diplomacy: A New Chapter

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced that Moscow is looking forward to a summit with Arab countries in October, which they hope will include Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.

During the meeting, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani expressed Damascus's eagerness for Moscow's support in forging a unified Syria.

Sharaa's leadership follows his December ascension after deposing long-standing Russian ally Bashar al-Assad.
