On Thursday, Senior IPS officer S B K Singh was appointed as the Commissioner of Delhi Police, taking over from his predecessor, Sanjay Arora.
Singh, from the 1988 batch of the AGMUT cadre, has been entrusted with additional responsibilities, as confirmed by a Ministry of Home Affairs order.
He began his tenure with the ceremonial guard of honour at the police headquarters, marking the official start of his leadership.
