In a swift response to a potentially dangerous situation, police in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district neutralized three rusted artillery shells on Sunday.
The discovery was made by locals near the banks of the Basantar river close to village Palth, prompting them to alert authorities. A bomb disposal squad was dispatched to the location immediately.
Using a controlled explosion, the bomb squad destroyed the shells without causing any harm, ensuring the safety of the area, according to police officials.
