A blaze in a Jharkhand hostel nearly turned tragic for at least 25 girls, who narrowly escaped harm, according to police reports.

The incident occurred at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Latehar district, early Monday morning. Students' beds and study materials were completely destroyed.

While no injuries were reported, the fire was attributed to a potential short circuit, prompting authorities to begin a thorough investigation into the building's electrical connections to avert future emergencies.
