Police in Nagpur arrested a man on Sunday for making a false bomb threat targeting Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's residence. The threat, which turned out to be a hoax, was reported through a call to the police emergency number 112.

In a swift response, authorities traced the call to a mobile number registered to Umesh Vishnu Raut, a resident of Tulsi Bagh Road. Police detained Raut near Vima Dawakhana in the Sakkardara area, later formally charging him with issuing the false alert.

Raut is known to work at a country liquor store, according to officials. They are continuing to investigate his motives and whether he has a history of similar incidents. A case has been registered against him.
