Family Betrayal: Shocking Murder in Assam Unfolds

A chilling murder case in Dibrugarh district, Assam, has resulted in the arrest of four individuals, including a woman, her daughter, and two others, for the murder of Uttam Gogoi. The shock surrounding the incident intensified as details emerged of a calculated plot spanning several months.

Police officials revealed that Gogoi's wife and minor daughter orchestrated the murder, enlisting the help of two minor contract killers. According to Dibrugarh Senior Superintendent of Police V V Rakesh Reddy, the daughter's confession revealed the crime as a long-term plan, finally executed in July.

Local residents have expressed outrage, staging protests at the Barbaruah police station, demanding stringent punishment for the perpetrators. Investigations continue, focusing on uncovering the exact motive, while the accused remain held for questioning.
