Starvation and Conflict in Gaza: An Unfolding Humanitarian Disaster

In the midst of a severe humanitarian crisis, Gaza faces increasing starvation and malnutrition, with six more fatalities reported within 24 hours. The death toll has now reached 175, including 93 children, since the onset of conflict nearly two years ago, as disclosed by the territory's health ministry.

Efforts to alleviate the suffering include the recent attempted entry of fuel via Egypt, with Israel permitting limited aid injections despite past restrictions. State-affiliated Al Qahera News TV reported two trucks carrying diesel, alongside U.N.-coordinated tanker shipments aimed at sustaining hospitals and essential services.

However, rampant looting and inadequate aid stress the precarious living conditions of Gaza's 2.2 million displaced residents amid knee-deep rubble and embattled infrastructure. With violence still unabated, international bodies demand urgent expansion of land-based aid routes to avert a looming catastrophe.
