In a tragic escalation of violence in Darfur, Sudan, a paramilitary group targeted a displacement camp, resulting in the deaths of 31 individuals, including seven children and a pregnant woman.
The assault, attributed to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), also left 13 injured, marking the second such attack on the Abu Shouk camp near el-Fasher in less than a week.
The ongoing conflict, which began in April 2023, arises from a power struggle between the Sudanese military and the RSF, causing widespread suffering and international scrutiny.
