In response to tragic events in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced financial relief for victims of a cloudburst and landslide.
Seven fatalities, including five children, and six injuries occurred; hence, Abdullah's initiative provides ex-gratia aid alongside SDRF contributions for immediate support.
Financial assistance includes Rs 2 lakh for families of the deceased, Rs 1 lakh for severely injured, and support for damaged homes.
