In a heart-wrenching incident in Jaipur's Murlipura area, a five-year-old girl lost her life after her mother allegedly leaped off the third floor of a building with her, police sources confirmed on Sunday.
The tragic event unfolded on Thursday when Manju Meena, 32, and her daughter Priyanshi made the fateful jump. While the young girl died instantly, Meena sustained serious injuries and is currently under medical care, according to Station House Officer Virendra Kuril.
Following a complaint from the woman's brother, authorities arrested her husband, Ravindra Kumar, aged 35, on Saturday night. Investigations into the circumstances leading up to the tragic event are underway, with more details expected to surface soon, Kuril stated.
