In a fiery press conference, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren leveled allegations against the JMM-led state government of forcibly acquiring tribal land for a proposed Rs 1,000-crore RIMS-2 hospital in Ranchi's Nagri area.
Soren announced his decision to join a protesting group of farmers whose land had been seized without notice or compensation. He criticized the government's choice to disregard legal protocols under the Land Acquisition Act, 2013, and the CNT Act, citing a lack of transparency.
Soren expressed deep concerns about the ongoing challenges faced by the tribal community, condemning actions he described as systemic negligence and exploitation. He recalled the historical struggles led by notable tribal leaders, emphasizing the need for a renewed movement to uphold tribal rights and dignity.
