In a significant narcotics raid, Hyderabad authorities apprehended a 19-year-old BCA student and a 27-year-old private firm employee for allegedly trading in drugs valued at Rs 7.3 lakh.
The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing, acting on informed intelligence, seized MDMA, ganja, a car, and mobile phones on August 19. The operation fell within the jurisdiction of Domalguda Police Station, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Task Force) Y V S Sudheendra.
Investigations reveal that the student, with expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, was sourcing narcotics from Nigerian dealers for distribution to a 27-year-old acquaintance he met via social media. Charges have been filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
