YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of neglecting farmers, leading to severe distress among the farming community in Kurnool. Reddy claims that low crop prices force farmers to sell onions for Rs 3 per kg and tomatoes for Rs 1.5 per kg.
Reddy further critiqued Naidu for allegedly creating an unprecedented crisis for farmers by allowing crop prices to collapse. Alleging government failure, Reddy highlighted that while local vendors show high prices, farmers are unable to secure even a fraction of that value.
He called on Naidu to take immediate action to procure crops at fair prices and support struggling farmers in their challenging times. In the face of this crisis, the TDP has not yet issued a response.
