Amit Shah's Fierce Stand: India vs. Global Drug Trade

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced a resolute stance against the drug trade in India, particularly focusing on dismantling networks orchestrated from abroad. Speaking at the national conference of Anti-Narcotics Task Force leaders, Shah underscored the Modi government's dedication to eliminating narcotics from the nation.

Shah outlined a comprehensive strategy encompassing a ruthless offensive against supply chains, a tactical reduction in demand, and a compassionate approach to harm reduction. Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 2047 vision for India, he emphasized the necessity of safeguarding youth from drug influence to achieve a fully secure and developed country.

Addressing the importance of extraditing international drug operatives, Shah noted collaboration with the CBI to facilitate legal actions against foreign-based offenders. He highlighted past success in drug seizures and reiterated that the ultimate goal remains a drug-free India, urging cooperation among districts, police, and educational bodies to sustain the campaign.
