The Delhi High Court has imposed a ban on victory processions by candidates and student organizations from Delhi University, to be observed after the DUSU elections on September 19.

A bench led by Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya, accompanied by Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, emphasized that while they are not interfering directly with the elections, they reserve the right to cease the operations of the Delhi University Students Union's office bearers if satisfactory election standards are not met.

The court has further ordered that Delhi Police, university officials, and the civil administration take all necessary measures to prevent any untoward incidents during the elections, ensuring strict adherence to electoral regulations.
