Ashwini Vaishnaw Launches Doordarshan’s Special Programming for Seva Parv

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, inaugurated a special bouquet of programmes on DD National and DD News today in New Delhi as part of the Seva Parv celebrations. The launch ceremony also included the unveiling of promos of several documentaries and series produced by Doordarshan and Prasar Bharati.
Emphasis on Spirit of Karmayog and National Service
Addressing the gathering, Shri Vaishnaw underlined that the new documentaries reflect the ethos of Karmayog—the spirit of selfless service and lifelong dedication exemplified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the Prime Minister has, from the beginning of his public life, devoted himself wholly to the cause of nation-building, setting aside personal ambitions.
Highlighting India’s transformation under PM Modi’s leadership, Shri Vaishnaw noted that in the past 11 years, India has achieved developmental milestones in a decade that would previously take several decades. He pointed out that India’s villages have witnessed visible progress, while the country has gained global recognition in technology, creativity, social justice, and inclusive growth. As part of his personal contribution to the Seva Parv, the Minister shared that he began the day by donating blood.
Seva Parv and India’s Vision for 2047
Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Sanjay Jaju, also addressed the event. He emphasized that the programming reflects the transformative journey of India under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, rooted in public service and good governance. According to him, the content showcases how India is advancing towards its aspiration of becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047, with stories of development emerging from every corner of the nation.
Highlights of the Documentaries and Series
The bouquet of programmes launched includes national-level documentaries, regional documentaries, and special series, each highlighting a different dimension of service, development, and leadership.

Sankalp Ki Shakti, Sushasan Ka Samarthya This documentary focuses on governance reforms under PM Modi over the last 11 years, emphasizing inclusive development for farmers, women, youth, and the poor. It underscores the government’s “Reform, Perform, Transform” principle and the saturation approach to reach all eligible beneficiaries through education, health, and welfare schemes.

Vishwa Patal par Netritva ka Shankhnaad This programme highlights PM Modi’s global leadership, particularly his advocacy for the Global South, climate action, and peace. It showcases initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance, Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, and the global recognition of International Yoga Day.

Karmyog – Ek Antheen Yatra A tribute to PM Modi’s journey of hard work and commitment, this documentary highlights achievements in space exploration, start-ups, solar power, women empowerment, cultural rejuvenation, and spirituality. It also features excerpts from his interviews, portraying his vision for India’s future.
