A meeting organized to ensure peace between the Maratha community and Other Backward Classes in Maharashtra's Nanded district took an unexpected turn on Thursday, resulting in injuries to three individuals.
The incident occurred at 10 am in Risangaon, Loha taluka, during a heated exchange among participants. According to Malakoli police officials, the injured—Balaji Eklare, Datta Eklare, and Vikas Pawar—have been hospitalized with non-serious injuries.
Superintendent of Police Abinash Kumar stated that a police team is on-site to maintain law and order. He mentioned that the altercation appears to result from a personal disagreement, and further investigation is underway. Legal action will be considered pending formal complaints.
