The incident took place on September 7, when two unidentified men intercepted the vehicle in transit and abducted its driver, who later managed to escape.
Following an intensive investigation, authorities arrested a suspect from the neighboring Thane district, who confessed to the crime. Efforts are ongoing to locate his accomplice.
