A shocking double murder occurred in Paraspur village, Gonda district, where a man allegedly killed his wife and father-in-law. The incident was sparked by suspicions of his wife's infidelity, according to a police statement.
The suspect, Pawan Prajapati, reportedly electrocuted his wife, Sangeeta, during a heated argument and then strangulated his father-in-law, Mangal, when he intervened. Mangal was rushed to a medical facility where he later succumbed to his injuries.
After trying to flee the scene, Pawan was captured by local villagers and handed over to the authorities. A forensic team and a dog squad were dispatched to collect evidence, and a post-mortem examination is underway to determine the cause of death.
