A chaotic scene unfolded in Manchester as a car was reportedly driven at pedestrians near the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall. The incident left four people injured, according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), who were quick to respond to the emergency.
Armed officers reportedly shot the suspected offender, who allegedly used both the vehicle and a weapon to harm members of the public. A heavy police presence, along with ambulance crews in protective gear, attended the scene. Paramedics provided emergency care to those injured by the vehicle and in the stabbing.
Andy Burnham, Manchester's mayor, addressed the situation, urging residents to avoid the area while reassuring them that the immediate threat has been contained. The North West Ambulance Service also dispatched resources to the scene, coordinating with emergency services to manage the aftermath.
