As the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) marks its centenary, the organization is set to expand its mission of 'vyakti nirman' or character building throughout India, according to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Speaking at the annual Vijayadashami address in Nagpur, Bhagwat highlighted the organization's goal to ensure widespread acceptance of its 'panch parivartan' program, aiming to foster social transformation.
The 'panch parivartan' initiative, a five-point agenda, seeks to promote social harmony, uphold family values, protect the environment, bolster self-reliance, and ensure adherence to civic and constitutional responsibilities. Bhagwat noted the collective efforts of RSS swayamsevaks and other organizations in facilitating this societal shift.
Reiterating India's significant historical role on the world stage, Bhagwat emphasized the need to reestablish the nation's ethos of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'—the world as one family—thus affirming India's commitment to global peace and harmony, aligned with contemporary needs and challenges.
