Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Smriti Irani on Thursday conveyed Dussehra greetings to citizens nationwide. Irani participated in 'Dhunuchi Naach' at a Durga Puja pandal on Pandara Road in Delhi, praying for prosperity and health for all families on this auspicious occasion.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta extended her greetings as well, emphasizing the triumph of righteousness and the symbolic destruction of Ravana during the festival. She highlighted that the Luv Kush Ramlila, staged at the historic Red Fort, draws millions, serving as a beacon of divinity and cultural splendor.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi echoed these sentiments on social media, calling Dussehra a representation of the victory of truth and good over deceit and malevolence. Dussehra, or Vijayadashami, is celebrated nationwide, commemorating Lord Rama's triumph, with the effigy burning of Ravana being a significant tradition.
