In a revolutionary celebration, the Border Security Force (BSF) Academy in Gwalior made history this Vijayadashami by incorporating drones into their traditional weapon worship ceremonies. Reflecting the evolving nature of warfare, the event signaled an important shift in the modernization of India's security apparatus.

BSF's Additional Director General, Shamsher Singh, led the proceedings, applying tikka and garlanding drones alongside conventional weapons. This symbolic gesture underscores BSF's proactive stance in adapting to emerging challenges, having recently launched a 'School of Drone Warfare' to enhance the technological prowess of its personnel.

Traditionally, Vijayadashami has seen warriors honor weapons as battle companions. By extending this custom to drones, the BSF reaffirmed their importance in modern defense strategies. As the world's largest training facility for border forces, the BSF Academy is at the forefront of preparing India's defense against new-age threats.
