Delhi Police have dismantled a significant adulterated ghee distribution network, arresting six men in connection with the operation. Authorities recovered 1,600 kg from three illegal units amid heightened festive season demand.
Officials warned that the ghee, adulterated with harmful chemicals, poses severe health risks including cancer, as indicated by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
In a detailed operation, multiple police teams seized substantial quantities of ghee, manufacturing equipment, and various additives from locations in northeast Delhi as they continue to investigate the criminal network.
