Three women officials from a private institute have been arrested for their roles in the harassment of female students by a self-styled godman, Chaitanyanand Saraswati. The arrested individuals include Associate Dean Shweta Sharma, Executive Director Bhawna Kapil, and Senior Faculty Kajal.
Allegations against them involve abetment, threatening students, and destruction of evidence. During police interrogations, the accused admitted to following Saraswati's directives under the guise of discipline, pressuring students, and deleting incriminating evidence.
Saraswati, arrested in Agra after a period of evasion, allegedly sexually harassed 17 students. Investigators have recovered various items, including pornographic materials, sex toys, and forged images, adding to the gravity of the allegations.
