An old video depicting a foreign tourist being verbally harassed near Hyderabad's historic Charminar has resurfaced and gone viral online, compelling local police to launch an investigation.

Officials revealed that preliminary findings indicate the event captured in the video occurred roughly three years ago, yet it recently gained traction on social media platforms. The footage shows a group member making inappropriate remarks to a passing tourist, prompting a man accompanying her to issue a warning: 'Sir, you should be careful about what you say, because people can hear you. Be careful.'

Although no formal complaint has been made, the Hyderabad City Police have acknowledged the incident. In a statement via X, they confirmed the matter has been reported to the Station Head Officer of Charminar, who will ensure necessary actions are undertaken.
